Have You Ever Dreamed of an Alaska Road Trip ?
For a few months now, I have enjoyed following the gang at Expedition Overland as they take an extended road trip through Alaska.
The reality based web series follows a group of six overlander’s traveling in two highly outfitted Toyotas, a Land Cruiser and a Tacoma, through remote places of North America, most recently Alaska. This trip is anything but a normal Alaska road trip. If there is even such a thing.
A Minor mishap while on my own Alaska road travels
While the vehicles could easily dominate the series, the videos go way beyond. Anyone who has attempted to modify their vehicle for extended travel would be impressed with the builds. However, what I have enjoyed the most is watching the interaction between the travelers at critical decision points. As any traveler can attest to, and is well represented in the videos, the places explored and the people met along the journey are the real highlights.

If you have ever dreamed of traveling the Alaska Highway or dreamed of just packing up the truck and exploring for a while, I suggest you check out the series.
One thing I would like to point out is that while they are extremely well equipped, don’t let not having all the equipment keep you from getting in whatever vehicle you have and doing a little exploring of your own.
