Product Review – Hydro Flask Water Bottle

A few years ago a co-worker was telling me about a water bottle he bought. At the time it was made from a small company called Hydro Flask. Soon after hearing about this product, I was browsing around a local outdoor shop and saw these Hydro Flask bottles on display. I picked out my favorite color and it quickly became my favorite water bottle.
I have had a few dozen water bottles in the past, but never found one that would keep my beverage nice and cold throughout my outings. This was not the case with the Hydro flask. I noticed on a kayak outing in the peak of summer that the Hydro Flask was not your normal water bottle. After six hours of baking in the sun, the water was as cold as it was when I filled it. It was time for a real test. The following weekend I set the full bottle on the dash of my jeep and let it bake in the 98 degree weather. Twelve hours later it was still cold.
Keeping your beverage cold is not the only great thing about The Hydro Flask water bottles. They are also very durable. In fact I still use my original bottle I purchased four years ago. Yes it has a few dings in it, as I’m not the easiest on things. I have dropped it on numerous occasions and it has not defected the integrity of the bottle.
Along with the durability, the shape is very comfortable in your hands and the double wall insulation does not allow the bottle to sweat. Also, the insulation allows for you to hold the bottle with scalding hot liquid in it. The Hydro Flask is great for storing hot liquids. While the Hydro Flask may not keep it hot on an all day trip, but you can definitely fill it up in the early morning and expect a hot treat for lunch. I have filled mine with hot chocolate at 4 am and drank it five hours later and it was just right. However, I filled it up with soup once and tried it about eight hours later and it was lukewarm.
Another great thing about Hydro Flask is the selection of products. They now carry a wide variety of shapes and sizes. I own one or more of the different selections and I am more than pleased. To top it off, when you purchase any Hydro Flask product they will donate 5% to a great cause. Their Products range from $20 to $50 depending on the size of the bottle. This price is well worth it for the quality of the product.
